Cary Vandenberg | CEO
Cary has over twenty years of executive experience within the enterprise software, semiconductor, and renewable energy industries, including marketing & sales, operations, and CEO roles. He has extensive knowledge of enterprise scale data acquisition and analysis systems, including tenure as CEO of HPL Technologies, a public software company focused on data integration and yield optimization for the semiconductor industry. HPL had unique expertise in collecting massive amounts of data and reducing it to actionable information through a variety of algorithms and pattern recognition techniques. Since selling HPL to Synopsys, Cary’s primary focus has been on working with early stage, clean energy technology enterprises. He has extensive knowledge of solar thermal gained at U.S. Solar Energy and CPV technologies with SolFocus, along with a deep understanding of the grid issues, incentive structures and financing programs that underpin the solar market. Earlier in his career, Cary was in leadership positions in enterprise software and supply chain automation companies and has substantial international capabilities, as well as experience in growing companies from the start-up stage to IPO.
Peter Sharer | SVP Solutions and Founder
Peter has over twenty years of experience in science applications, software development and IT, primarily in leadership roles. Prior to founding Agilewaves, he was leading a team at MW2 Consulting, a pioneer in SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), deploying Business Service Management solutions to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, his career highlights include work at NASA leading the software team developing the Mission Control System for the Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy, writing a data analysis application in atmospheric science, and architecting a data system for tagging pelagic marine life. Peter and his wife live in Menlo Park with their two children.
David Brock | CTO and Founder
David developed the common data system and is the software and system architect for the Resource Monitor. He also oversees all the technical aspects of each installation. David has twenty years of experience in system integration. He designed the architecture, and did the development and integration for data acquisition systems for a wide range of applications from science to health care. After working in exotic locations including Antarctica and Hawaii he returned to the mainland and worked as an engineer for NASA. He has been a founder and worked with several start ups, then joined a private consulting company and was responsible for Business Service Management solutions to Fortune 500 companies. He lives in Mountain View with his wife and daughter.
