Management Team
Peter Sharer | CEO
Peter has over twenty years of experience in science applications, software development and IT, primarily in leadership roles. Prior to founding Agilewaves, he was leading a team at MW2 Consulting, a pioneer in SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), deploying Business Service Management solutions to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, his career highlights include work at NASA leading the software team developing the Mission Control System for the Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy, writing a data analysis application in atmospheric science, and architecting a data system for tagging pelagic marine life. Peter and his wife live in Menlo Park with their two children.
David Brock | CTO
David developed the common data system and is the software and system architect for the Resource Monitor. He also oversees all the technical aspects of each installation. David has twenty years of experience in system integration. He designed the architecture, and did the development and integration for data acquisition systems for a wide range of applications from science to health care. After working in exotic locations including Antarctica and Hawaii he returned to the mainland and worked as an engineer for NASA. He has been a founder and worked with several start ups, then joined a private consulting company and was responsible for Business Service Management solutions to Fortune 500 companies. He lives in Mountain View with his wife and daughter.
Lan Lin | Chief Engineer
Lan developed the user interface for the resource monitor and facilitates other system development with David. She has 9 years of software engineering experience with NASA and the FAA, developing mission critical systems. This experience includes large-scale graphic user interface and data and communication software. She is a certified C language programmer. Prior to her experience with NASA she conducted bio-medical research. Lan holds a doctorate in Molecular Microbiology. She lives in Sunnyvale with her husband and two children.
Collin Breakstone | VP of Business Development
With over 15 years experience in integrated control systems and strategic business development, Collin has worked with hundreds of home and building owners and has established significant industry relationships. Collin joined Agilewaves in May 2008 from Ultimate Control Inc, one of the leading integrators of home automation systems in the United States. Prior to that, he established and managed regional presence of a national integration company, founded a small systems integration company and was chief equipment engineer for hydrographic research projects. Collin was an early Eco-Act member, studied environmental design at UC Colorado in Boulder, lived off-grid for four years, has a BS in political science, holds multiple certifications and membership affiliations and lives in San Francisco.
