Real-Time Data to Manage Energy Consumption
Understanding when and where energy is being consumed throughout your building can have a significant payback. With Agilewaves, you can capture, store, and analyze energy consumption to uncover ways to mitigate unnecessary energy costs.
We can also help you meet compliance requirements for State Energy Codes. The Agilewaves Building Optimization System™ is a modular, turnkey solution designed to meet the full range of your compliance requirements.
Seattle Energy Code: Non-Residential & Multifamily Buildings
The Seattle Code for Energy Metering (Chapter 12) requires buildings over 20,000 sf to provide measurement devices with remote communications capability to collect energy use data for each energy supply source. For Existing Buildings, the code applies to additions and alterations.
1202 Data Acquisition System Requirements
The Seattle Code requires that data must be collected and stored in a Data Acquisition System. Agilewaves ensures compliance, by providing:
- Gateways that automatically communicate between measurement devices and the required data acquisition system.
- Collects and storage of measurements in 5 minute intervals, exceeding the minimum code requirement to provide daily data.
- Storage of data for up to 11 years (exceeds the minimum of 36 months).
- Reports showing daily, monthly and annual energy consumption.
1202.1–1202.5 End-Use Submetering
The system must also collect energy use data for the total building and separately for each of the end-use categories in Sections 1201.1 through 1201.5. Agilewaves provides circuit-level metering to collect data to meet submetering requirements. Standard Reports allow for reporting totals by Load Type.
1203 Metering - New or Replacement Systems
Agilewaves has a modular design with the flexibility to add new submetering capability, as required. This includes the ability to integrate other data sources from automation systems, utilizing our BACnet over IP protocol.
1204 Energy Displays
The Seattle Code requires a permanent, accessible, visible display for building operation and management. Agilewaves includes a dashboard and reports to supply the required calculations for:
- whole building energy demand
- energy source
- average and peak demands for previous day
- same day previous year
- total energy usage for previous 12 months.
Agilewaves has a full range of visualization options for Energy Displays: Web Browser, Kiosk, iPad™, iPhone™, iPod Touch™, Sony Gadget ™.
Integrations Protect Your Existing Investments
Your Agilewaves deployment can also “plug-and-play” with other systems:
- Export data to other systems via standard .csv format
- Import data from Building Automation Systems
- Import data from existing submeters.
