Real-Time Data to Manage Energy Consumption

Understanding when and where energy is being consumed throughout your building can have a significant payback. With Agilewaves, you can capture, store, and analyze energy consumption to uncover ways to mitigate unnecessary energy costs. We can also help you meet compliance requirements for State Energy Codes.

WESC:Washington (Except Seattle) Energy Code

Effective July 1 2010, the Washington State Energy Code for Energy Metering (Chapter 12) requires energy consumption data be provided to ensure that building owners can effectively mange energy. Under WESC, metering data must be collected if the thresholds in Tables 12-1 and 12-2 are exceeded. The Agilewaves Building Optimization System™ is a modular, turnkey solution designed to meet the full range of your WESC requirements.

1202 Whole Building Energy Supply Metering and Submetering

Table 12-1: Agilewave’s remote metering capability can support data collection for each energy supply source, via current sensors and flow meters.

Reduce costs with Agilewaves

Adding circuit measurements provides the ability to drill down into energy loads. This is key to identifying specific areas – floors, lighting zones, classrooms, computer rooms - which may be consuming excessive amounts of energy, and racking up demand charges or time-of-day premiums. Table 12-2: Agilewave’s circuit-level metering satisfies the need to submeter components

1203 Metering/ New or Replacement Systems

Agilewaves has the flexibility to mix metering levels in a building, campus or portfolio. We have a modular system - by design - so that you’re only investing in sub-metering when and where it’s justified. Agilewaves has a modular design with the flexibility to add new submetering capability for the components in Table 12-2, as required. This includes the ability to integrate other data sources from automation systems, utilizing our BACnet over IP protocol. Agilewaves Energy Diagnostic reports provide trends so you can uncover simple fixes such as delaying building warm-up/shutdown schedules to reflect occupant patterns, switching functions to off-peak hours or adjusting the temperature of an air-conditioning system. Any of these measures can quickly add up to significant savings – without significant capital investments. Your Agilewaves deployment can also “plug-and-play” with other systems: - Export data to other systems via standard .csv format - Import data from Building Automation Systems - Import data from existing submeters.
